Applicants

We welcome you to make application to become a resident in one of our manufactured home or apartment communities. You may use the application form provided here on our web site, by printing it out, completing it, and delivering it to the site manager at the community in which you wish to reside. The manager will collect an application fee before the application can be processed. Alternatively, the application can be mailed to Commonwealth’s main office, along with the application fee, at the address shown on the application form.

Rental Application

Completing the Rental Application: All four pages of the Rental Application must be filled out completely before returning it to be processed. If it is not complete, it may cause a delay in our response. You must include your Social Security Number, full name, date of birth, monthly income, and all other requested information, unless a particular item is not applicable. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the community manager or a property manager at the Commonwealth office.

Screening Policy

Commonwealth screens all applicants using the services of First Advantage Saferent. Your score is determined by various factors which include income, rental amount, and credit history, employment verification and history and five-year rental history. Bankruptcies and Tax Liens may not necessarily result in a denial. If you have a criminal record, not all charges, convictions, felonies and/or misdemeanors may result in a denial.

For more complete information, please read the Oregon Screening Policy or Washington Screening Policy.

Other Application Information

Application Fees: There is a $35 application fee per applicant ($40 for Washington), and an additional $15 fee per applicant for any state in which you lived within the last 5 years, outside the state in which the community is located. If you do not provide us with an out of state address, and one shows up on your credit/criminal report, we will need to collect the additional fees to obtain those state reports before your application process can be completed.

Before completing an application, you should review two other documents:

  1. Straight Talk About Manufactured Home Community Living
  2. "Statement of Policy" for the specific community, which is available from the community manager

Thank you for your interest in our communities; we look forward to assisting you in your search for a new home!
