We at Commonwealth Real Estate Services are excited to announce to you that Bruce Dorsey, formally of Associates Housing Finance has joined Commonwealth as our newest Property Manager.  Bruce will be managing a portfolio of properties in both Oregon and Washington initially.

Bruce has an outstanding reputation for honesty, integrity and fairness in the manufactured housing industry.  Additionally, the depth and diversity of his manufactured housing experience is hard to duplicate.  Bruce began as Comptroller and Vice President of M&K Homes in the late 1970’s and remained at that position until joining Homeowners Funding Services, a major manufactured home lender in the late 1980’s.  Homeowner’s staff eventually became the foundation for Ford Consumer Finance/Associates Housing Finance and Bruce remained there in a variety of management positions until Associates exited the industry over a year ago.  Bruce welcomes business travel and a good challenge so we feel he will do well at Commonwealth.  I have personally known Bruce and his wife Karen for over 22 years and cannot think of a single person in our industry on the West Coast that is more highly respected.  Having Bruce join us is a coup for Commonwealth and will further enhance our reputation as an industry leader that attracts respected industry professionals.

Bruce is not totally new to property management.  He and Karen have owned an office building in southeast Portland for several years and Karen’s family has or does own some investment real estate including a portion of a manufactured home community in southern Oregon.  Recently we have been flooded with new accounts that are asking for Commonwealth professional management and we haven’t been able to accommodate them because our existing Property Managers all have full portfolios.  With Bruce on board we can continue growing our management portfolio knowing that our clients will be in the hands of a true professional.
