Adam Cook

President

Adam Cook

Adam joined Commonwealth Real Estate Services in 1992. Since joining the Commonwealth management team, he has trained, supervised, and empowered company staff – corporate staff as well as community managers; developed a keen awareness and understanding of the company’s clients’ management goals; implemented strategies to achieve the identified goals; and acquired in-depth expertise in all facets of the day-to-day requirements of professionally managing real estate. He has been particularly effective in utilizing his years of experience to improve the services we offer to our clients. During the past 18 years he has served as a board member for the Oregon community owner’s trade association, Manufactured Housing Communities of Oregon (MHCO), helping to shape legislative efforts in Oregon. He served two years as the association's president. Adam is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the States of Oregon and Washington. Prior to joining Commonwealth, he was actively involved with numerous organizations at Linfield College, including the Future Advertising and Marketing Executives, Young American Capitalists, Omicron Delta Epsilon (International Honor Society for Economics) and Treasurer of Kappa Sigma Fraternity (International), as well as a four-year member of the varsity soccer team. He holds a BA in Finance.

Thomas Petitt

Thomas Petitt

Tom joined Commonwealth Real Estate Services in Oregon in July, 2012 and oversees the Oregon Property Management Division and will work closely with all other aspects of our company helping us further develop and grow our existing business as well as managing a portfolio of properties. Tom attended Western Oregon State University where he majored in Business and Marketing, he has over 15 years’ experience in the manufactured housing industry working in property management, retail sales management, operations, and property development.  Tom is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Oregon. In his spare time Tom enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports in his local community, and volunteering for special events and organizations such as Habitat for Humanity. Also Tom is actively involved in multiple committees at Commonwealth Real Estate Services.

Bill Smith

Vice President of Washington

Bill Smith

Bill has been a business owner for most of his adult life and has owned and operated several successful business enterprises.  His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him into the Manufactured Housing Industry.  In 2001, two years after selling his successful west coast manufacturing and distribution business, Bill became a partner at Commonwealth Commercial Brokerage Company.  In 2007 he sold his shares and exited Brokerage to manage his own personal investments. His past experience is an asset to our company and we were happy to have him rejoin the Commonwealth team in 2015 for the benefit of our Property Management Business.  Bill brings with him a unique ability to unify and inspire a team to be diligent, respectful, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients and to their/our residents. In 2016 Bill became the Vice President of our Washington office located in Bellevue, Washington.  Bill has raised 5 boys and his greatest joy in life is being a dad.  He spends his private time reading and spending time with his family.  He is an avid boater with extensive NW cruising experience and has been an accomplished airplane pilot for over 30 years.  He enjoys restoring old European automobiles and motorcycles.  If it floats, flies, drives, or rides…..Bill probably likes it.

Ryan Erickson

Assistant Vice President of Washington

Ryan joined Commonwealth Real Estate in March 2017. He brings with him property management experience and an entrepreneurial spirit. Ryan became an active broker in 2004 and spent much of his time managing apartment communities in the Seattle area before joining our team. He started his first business in 2002, a cybercafé, where customers can today enjoy video gaming next to the Alderwood Mall. In his free time, Ryan really enjoys time with his wife and kids, heading to the gym, appreciating the outdoors, playing a video game and especially traveling.

Kathleen Landau

Kathleen Landau

A member of the Commonwealth Real Estate Services Executive team, Kathleen has been involved with the manufactured housing industry since 1996. Her experience is not only limited to management, but also as a manufactured housing community owner, giving her a unique skill set perfectly aligned to serving the financial needs of all our clients. Kathleen was born and raised in Oakland, California, where she first started gaining experience in bookkeeping and all the intricacies of running a business while wearing many different hats in a company owned by her family. After graduating with a degree in accounting from Western Washington University in June, 1987, Kathleen started her formal career as an accountant with a regional interior supply company in the Seattle area. She was subsequently hired as an internal auditor/accountant with PACCAR Inc. in Bellevue, Washington. After starting and raising a family, she joined Commonwealth Investors to manage their accounting in 1996 on a part-time basis. Her responsibilities grew as she served as a consultant to the Commonwealth Real Estate Services and helped perform various auditing related functions. In 2009 Kathleen was asked to head the accounting department as the Accounting Manager. Under the tutelage of Kathleen the accounting department has grown, and in 2013 Kathleen stepped into the position of Controller. Kathleen supervises the accounting team who are responsible for over 100 property portfolio accounts.

Kristine Rupp

Kristine Rupp

Kristine joined Commonwealth in October 2012 as an Accounting Assistant, then moved into the position of Accounting Specialist in September 2013 and onto the HR/Office Manager role in July 2015. Kristine graduated from George Fox University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management. Kristine has been able to utilize her marketing experience while working with Commonwealth's marketing department on multiple campaigns and projects. Kristine's job involves daily operations management including human resources, payroll, and benefits management for the company. Kristine is responsible for regulatory compliance at state and local levels in both Oregon and Washington for Commonwealth's over 150 employees. In her free time Kristine enjoys cooking, baking, and eating good food.

Brian Hoag

Brian Hoag

Brian joined our team in 2001 as an agent for Commonwealth Homeowner Services (CHS). Brian operated and managed our CHS division for 10 years and was responsible for hundreds of transactions, in addition to being a Regional Manager since 2004. As an Oregon licensed Real Estate Broker, Brian is a Regional Manager for several select properties. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Brian worked in manufactured home retail sales for 10 years. In the retail industry Brian started as a Sales Agent, earned several awards including top producer, and over time was promoted to Sales Manager, General Manager and finally Regional Manager. Brian also spent 3 years with a Real Estate Development and Management company in Los Angeles after receiving his college degree. Brian graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS in Finance/Real Estate in 1988. In his personal time Brian enjoys his family and many outdoor activities including fishing.

Jim Ryan

Regional Manager

Jim joined Commonwealth Real Estate in 2014. He brings to the organization a breadth of knowledge from his 18 years of commercial real estate experience holding positions in asset management and brokerage of multifamily, office, retail and industrial real estate. Jim has also held the positions of Director of Acquisitions/Dispositions, Director of Real Estate Operations, Sr. Real Estate Portfolio Manager and Consultant for several private real estate equity/investment and development firms with national portfolios. Jim has been instrumental in the creation, leadership and organization of multiple successful management teams. Jim is a native Oregonian and holds his BA in Psychology/Business from Portland State University and his MBA in Real Estate from Marylhurst University. Jim is also a licensed real estate broker in the State of Oregon. In his spare time, Jim likes to spend time with his family, traveling, and is an avid hiker.

Marcus Vance

Regional Manager

Marcus joined Commonwealth in 2016. He has been a licensed realtor in Washington since 2003. He has had experience in some commercial as well as multi-family and residential real estate. He has a strong sales background as he has managed sales and marketing departments for successful  companies across multiple industries. In his spare time, Marcus likes to spend time with his kids and family and enjoys the outdoors as he is an avid fisherman. Marcus also loves baseball and coaches in his free time as well. He was all-state in high school and went on to play in college before suffering an injury.

Amy Jaques

Regional Manager

Amy joined Commonwealth Real Estate Services in 2017. After completing her studies at Oregon State in Business Management Amy joined the management team with a large corporate retailer. In just four months under her leadership in business development and new client systems her district services revenue increased by thirty percent. Prior to her position as a Regional Manager with Commonwealth Amy served as an Asset/Project Manager restructuring her firm’s system flow and implementing processes, resulting in the ability for the firm to take on additional business and build stronger relationships with existing clients without increasing overhead. Amy has over ten years of management experience in planning, development, brokerage and property management of multifamily, residential and commercial properties. Amy brings to Commonwealth a fresh perspective for increasing process efficiency towards maximizing asset value over time.

Colin DeCastro

Regional Manager

Colin DeCastro joined Commonwealth in 2015.  An experienced Real Estate Manager, he demonstrated broad-based operational real estate expertise in diverse asset portfolio environments. Colin has success at maintaining good client/tenant business relationships. He has extensive work experience in predominantly property management assignments of commercial income producing properties as well as lease administration, property acquisition process, and financial and investment analysis. Colin is able to wear multiple hats to produce bottom line results, to analyze quickly and deliberately problem situations, create plans of action, both short and long term, implement and maintain quality and control, and attain productive resolutions. He is also well schooled in transaction driven commercial real estate service delivery processes. He has documented capabilities in start-up and expanding environments.

 

Jimmy Wasem

Regional Manager

Jimmy joined Commonwealth in 2018.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology with specialties in genetics and microbiology and has published works regarding the development of an autoimmune CNS model of inflammatory disease.  As exciting as this was, he decided that he didn’t want to work in a lab for the rest of his life.  Instead, he wanted to pursue a career in real estate learning all that he could in order to eventually create a large portfolio of his own.  For this to happen, he moved to Tacoma to become the property manager of a brand new, 100-unit apartment complex.  After only a year, he worked his way up to the highest employee-held position in the company managing seven apartment complexes, a marina and around thirty single-family homes.  Outside of work, Jimmy currently manages three Airbnb units as well as two rental properties that he flipped himself.   

Jennifer Fandrey

Jennifer Fandrey

Jennifer was with Commonwealth Real Estate Services 2012-2014 and again starting in March 2016. Jennifer first started with Commonwealth in the summer of 2012 providing additional coverage at the front reception desk. She quickly proved to be a great asset to the team and was immediately thought of when a position in accounting opened up in October of 2012, when Jennifer become a full-time member of the Commonwealth team as an Assistant to the Accounting Specialist and then Accounting Specialist. Jennifer's solid contributions to the accounting team, and previous training as a front desk administrator, led to her being the perfect choice for to fill a newly vacated administrative position in the Regional Manager department in Oregon.  Jennifer has a background in the health insurance industry as a licensed insurance agent, where she provided top-notch customer service. She has also worked in the health and wellness industry as a fitness manager and certified personal trainer and instructor. Jennifer was born in the Portland area and lived in Alaska for seven years before moving back to Portland. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her family camping, hiking and traveling.

Ashley Clark

Oregon Regional Manager Administrative Assistant

Ashley joined Commonwealth in January of 2018. She has over four years of experience working for the Orange County Public School District and in property insurance as an administrative assistant in Orlando, Florida. She has an Associate of Arts, Science, and General Studies degree and intends to further her education. She recently moved back to Oregon from Florida via a cross country road trip and really loves it here. She enjoys hiking along the coast and mountains, taking road trips, traveling, creating digital art, and cooking with her friends.

Susan Jaramillo

Oregon Regional Manager Administrative Assistant

Susan started with Commonwealth in March of 2018. Before joining our team, she was the office manager for a local chiropractic office for almost two years.  Although born and raised in Tigard, OR, Susan got her associates in Office Technology in a little town called Watertown, WI. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends. You can typically find her bowling on Friday nights.

Chandni Patel

Washington Receptionist and Regional Manager Administrative Assistant

Chandni joined Commonwealth in October 2018. She has an abundance of reception experience working at Massage Envy and Whatcom Library for 5+ years. Prior to reception she worked as a preschool teacher in Blaine, WA and enjoyed teaching gymnastics as part of the curriculum.  Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada her favorite food is poutine and she enjoys visiting her family back in Blaine.  She has lived in the city & in the country and sees herself as a person who can adjust to many different environments. Currently Chandni is also enrolled in full-time school for her Business & Healthcare Management degree. She keeps busy! She is thrilled to contribute her wide array of skillset to our company.

Teresa Garrett

Teresa Garrett

Teresa joined Commonwealth in Nov. 1998 after 9 years of bookkeeping and customer service for Albertson’s Food Center. She excels at communicating with and supporting Regional Managers, Community Managers, and Community Owners.  Teresa also enjoys very detailed audit work. Sept. of 2007 Teresa pursued a career in the commercial construction industry as a Union EIS Carpenter with Local 2154.  Due to the state of the economy, she found herself available in Jan. 2010 when she was contacted to fill a position with CWRES in the Accounting Dept.  In her spare time, Teresa enjoys SCA/Renaissance Fairs, Greyhound adoption volunteerism, tennis, and dog parks. 

Megan Rupp

Megan Rupp

Megan joined Commonwealth Real Estate Services in March 2014. Megan previously worked as an Administrative Assistant for The American Red Cross and has also worked in the restaurant industry. Megan attended the University of North Texas on a softball scholarship and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. Megan has lived in Portland her whole life and loves it here, minus the rain of course. In her spare time, Megan enjoys playing and watching sports and doing anything outside when the weather is nice. She also loves spending time with her family and dog Wrigley.

Estefany Ramirez

Accounting Specialist

Estefany joined Commonwealth Real Estate Services in November 2017. Most of her work experience comes from volunteer work and the restaurant industry as she grew up in a family with multiple family owned businesses all over Oregon and Washington. She attended Pacific University and graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s of Business Administration with a focus in Finance and Accounting. Estefany grew up in Eastern Oregon in the little rodeo town of Pendleton but has always liked the city life. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to sporting events, watching Disney movies, and baking tasty sweets.

Neil Pena

Accounting Specialist

Neil is originally from Sacramento, California. He first moved up to Oregon in 2012 to attend The University of Oregon where he majored in Economics and minored in Business Administration. After graduating, he gained real world accounting experience by working for Robert Half Accountemps in San Francisco in which he was involved in various accounting roles until his start with Commonwealth in May 2018. He is currently attending Portland State University to finish his accounting degree as he pursues his goal to be a CPA. Most of his interests involve his love for the outdoors where he can spend time going on hikes with friends, cliff diving, hunting/camping, and playing golf.  

Jered Yagi

Accounting Specialist

Jered joined Commonwealth in the fall of 2018. Growing up in Tigard, he is a local to the area, graduating Tualatin High School and then Portland State University with a Bachelors in Accounting. Previously working on a factory line, this is his first foray into the world of accounting. Jered brings an analytical approach to problems due to his background in coding and gaming. Interested in technology, he is up to date on all of the new tech in the market. In his free time, he enjoys playing challenging video games and board games with friends.

Chelsea Keller

Chelsea joined Commonwealth Real Estate Services in March 2019. She recently moved here from the Poconos in Pennsylvania. She graduated in April, 2018 from the University of Pittsburgh. She received two degrees, a Bachelors in Accounting and a Bachelors in Business Management, with a minor in Economics. Most of her work experience is in sales, but after working with Robert Half Accountemps, she was able to find her role in the accounting department with Commonwealth.  During her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching the Philadelphia Eagles during football season, and going on random adventures.

Loren “Jared “ Landau for many years has been roaming the halls of the office helping from everything to filing, moving and cleaning to helping remodel homes. He graduated from Westside Christian High School in Lake Oswego. He was working part-time in the accounting department while attending PCC. He joined the accounting team full-time in 2013. Born in Bellevue, Washington, Jared enjoys the outdoors, cooking, good beer/wine and rock climbing so Oregon is a perfect home for him.

Chris Guernsey

Chris joined the Commonwealth team in 2013 as the Oregon Sales Manager for Commonwealth Homeowner Services Inc., operated out of the Portland office. Chris has over 18 years of combined sales and management experience in the private sector. He served as a sales manager for Santiam homes and owned and operated Capital City Homes, reselling used and bank owned homes. Chris has a wide variety of experience including: recruitment and hiring, performance management of employees, direct sales, and management of manufactured home communities. Chris enjoys restoring old cars, hunting, camping with his family, and taking his old Harley out on the open road whenever the weather permits.

Melisa Cook

Melisa Cook

Melisa is a member of the Commonwealth Real Estate Services Executive team and has been with Commonwealth Real Estate Services since 1997. She started with Commonwealth as the front desk receptionist.  She later moved to be an Administrative Assistant and most recently was the Human Resources and Office Manager.  Melisa is now changing careers and will be working closely with our CHS division in Oregon and Washington to help it grow to the next level.  Melisa will also be working for CRES as an Executive Administrator for the management team working closely with them and the administrative team to tackle such tasks as our company website, auditing and Common Solutions Newsletter.   Melisa is also involved with Commonwealth’s Safety Committee.  Prior to joining Commonwealth, Melisa worked for Security Pacific Housing Services in Vancouver & San Diego, CA, then transferred to the Residential Appraisal Department of Bank of America.  She also worked in the airline industry with United Express and Delta Airlines.  A native Oregonian, in her free time, Melisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, and traveling.

 

Loren Ball

Washington Sales Manager Commonwealth Homeowner Services

Loren joined the Commonwealth team in 2013 as a community manager. He quickly began working with Commonwealth Homeowner Services Inc., selling homes and bringing other opportunities to the company in the Seattle region. In 2016 Loren became the full time CHS Sales Manager for the Washington office. Loren has 8 years of sales experience and 18 years of experience in all aspects of construction. This combination gives him a unique and valuable perspective in our CHS division. His construction background alone (including; building, permitting, contracting, and budgeting) is a wonderful asset to our growing company. Loren enjoys spending quality time with his family, camping, and exploring the waters of the Puget Sound.

Loren Landau

Loren Landau began his commercial real estate career when he joined Commonwealth Commercial Brokerage Company in 1998. Prior to coming to CCBC, Loren worked in the oil industry for Texaco.  Following that he built and later sold a successful manufacturing business, The Bag Connection, with multiple plants throughout the U.S. He became the President of Commonwealth Real Estate Services shortly after joining CCBC. After helping direct the company toward prosperity and growth over three years, Loren rejoined the brokerage group. He still serves as the Chairman of CRES and managing broker. As a community owner and seasoned business professional, Loren brings well rounded knowledge to every transaction. He has an undergraduate degree from Western Washington University and Masters in Business from University of Oregon. During his free time, Loren is active in sports, exercise and in his church.  Loren and his wife, Kathleen, have three boys and an ever increasing family (grandchildren) to keep their schedules filled.

Brett Case

Brett Joined Commonwealth Commercial Brokerage in November of 2012. Born and raised in Oregon, Brett ventured off to California in 2008 where he received his bachelor’s degree from William Jessup University. Brett is driven by his competitive nature, natural integrity and servant’s heart which are derived from lifelong athletic participation as well as community service. A licensed real estate agent in Oregon and Washington, Brett looks forward to helping owners and investors alike identify their real estate needs, while implementing the means necessary to achieve those goals in a smooth and timely manner. Brett is actively involved with his church and enjoys spending time with his family, friends and 2 year old hound dog, Ruger. His favorite activities include fishing, camping and anything that can be turned into a competition.

Lisa Molini Heizenreter

Association Manager

Lisa has been with Appleton Properties since 1995, starting in Real Estate Sales, and then adding Association Management in 2002.  Lisa joined the Commonwealth team upon its acquisition of Appleton Properties, Inc. in Nov. 2018.
 
Lisa brings extensive long-term experience of Homeowner Associations, Condominium Associations, and working with developers to organize and transition Homeowner Associations to the Homeowners and helping each newly elected Board of Directors establish best operating practices.  Lisa has a proven record of creative problem solving, excellent customer relations, successful contract negotiations, in depth project coordination, and a vast knowledge in organization and operations of Homeowner and Condominium Associations and new developments.  Lisa has remained an Oregon Real Estate Broker since 1995 while providing residential real estate sales assistance to her valued clients.
 
With a former career in the Travel Industry, she has traveled the world, been introduced to many cultures and visited many wonderful places!  She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
 

Kraig Mascola

Association Manager

Kraig joined Appleton Properties, Inc in September 2007 after working many years in residential and retail management. In 1996 he acquired an Oregon Property Management License and in July 2007 stepped up to an Oregon Real Estate Brokers License, which he currently holds.  A few months after joining Appleton Properties, Inc. his association management portfolio expanded to include the Hood River and Welches areas, which were new regions for the company. Kraig further expanded his experience and knowledge through a variety of continuing education courses, online blogs, and forums. Outside of work Kraig enjoys spending time with his husband Steven and his dogs (kids) Linus & Lucy, gardening, and remodeling. For relaxation he enjoys trips to the Oregon Coast, Palm Springs, and Boca Raton.

Angela Ware

Angela started with Commonwealth in November 2018 with the merging of Appleton Properties where she has been in the receivables/collection department while learning each aspect of the company for 4 years. A native Oregonian, she spent her younger years growing up in Astoria on a farm learning hard work results in dedication in all aspects in life. Angela worked in customer relations through retail and restaurants to expand the opportunity to learn communication and superior work ethics. She attended PCC Sylvania to better her job skills and experience. Angela loves her three children and dog Benny; and also loves camping, the beach, the mountains… it is so great to live in the NW, where you can drive an hour and be in a totally different place. She is excited to start the journey with Commonwealth to expand Appleton Properties...
